Yay!!! Valentines Day is coming!!! I’m never truly ready but I’m trying to get a little festive.
Flowers and gifts are getting me in the spirit.
Then I decorated a little…let’s be honest this isn’t really my husband’s thing.
But he loved the note I left on his pillow. Check out my other blog post with 20 creative Valentines Day idea for creative people.
Since leaving my job I’ve been studying for my license and fining an obsession with my own version of product shoots. Here we have a wine bottle my friend brought for brunch, the cork, and an interesting stick I found while taking at walk. Yea, I’m the girl that picks up sticks while I walk down the street.
My besties always know what gifts to bear. Considering I’m the girl that prefers an amazing experience to an amazing possession. I linger in the memories and live off of sentiment. So what encourages memories more than a smell? Nothing I say NOTHING!!! Thank you ladies for knowing exactly what to get me. Henri Bendel for the win!
My favorite for the day!
But I truly love them all. Secret, Henri Bendel scents-perfumes and candles- are layerable…yes layerable is a word!
I guess you could say trying new restaurants and caffes is a hobby of mine. So today I walked into Caffe Vita in Silver Lake. Service was alright, but what I loved was the ginger scone. It inspired a little photoshoot.
I’m debating myself on how much to say about the pagan nature of our celebration of Easter. But I’m over it. Happy Easter!!!
Diane Arbus decidedly turned her back on her wealthy background in favor of a life dedicated to her art. Her mission was to highlight the misfits and untouchables. Her unconventional portraits forever captured the less visible aspect of the late 1940’s. I’m keeping everything G rated, but look up some of her work with transexuals, simply amazing! Here are a few of her pieces, hope you like!
I love Downtown LA and sometimes I take a late night stroll just to get a better feel of the city. Don’t worry I had my body guard Cigars with me.
The Annenberg Space for Photography will be hosting a new exhibit, Beauty CULTure, from May 21 to Nov 27. Famous photogeniuses Man Ray, Guy Bourdin, Horst, Jean-Paul Goude, Philippe Halsman, Matthew Rolston, and others walk us through the ever changing landscape that is feminine beauty. Their collective 170 prints and over 500 digital image capture the good the bad and the ugly. Expect to see Twiggy, Alek Wek, Angelina Jolie, Beverly Johnson, Bo Derek, Carmen Dell’Orefice, Venus Williams, Cheryl Tiegs, Cindy Crawford, Du Juan, Elizabeth Taylor, Gisele Bundchen, Grace Jones, Iman, Jean Shrimpton, Kate Moss, Linda Evangelista, Madonna, Marilyn Monroe, and Sophia Loren to name a few. I hope to see all of you May 21.
I have always had an interest in photography and recently I’ve started snapping everything around me. I was even taking pictures of my morning grapefruit. Thanx to my lovable Cigars I have access to an amazing photomagical camera that both inspires me to be better and utterly terrifies me. I find myself feeling like the little girl in the Hello Kitty shirt. I tell myself “Just don’t drop it, point, and shoot.” I have a ways to go but hopefully I will be bringing you some amazing shots without having to use Hipstamatic.
