No trip to Harlem is complete without a stop at Sister’s on Madison and 124th. The chick pea and potatoes were amazing and the roti was delish.
So, as you can see I’m not a good chess player but I was enamored by their little mini man chess game.
My view from my girl’s Harlem apartment. Gotta love NY.
Today was my first full day in New York and I spent it on the West side with my fav cousin. Overall today was a great day.
I’m back New York. Let’s see what kind of trouble I can get in this time.
My last day in NY was hectic so I didn’t get to post the happenings. My day started with a giro as I overlooked the financial district. I had my interview at an amazing hospital then off to Penn Station. It was really hard to convince a cab drier to take me but I finally got to my destination and off to Boston. I love busy days.
Alright, New York and I have a love hate relationship. I went from a great meeting, to witnessing a mugging (horrible), to the Copacabana to see Eddie Palmieri perform. Over all 1 for I hate NY 2 for I love NY. The I love NYs have it!!!!! Hurray.
Day one of my New York adventure begins with an amazing view of the Brooklyn Bridge. Next, off to breakfast with my besties, whom I see far too infrequently, then more interview prep. I’ll be taking lots of pix from my iPhone 4s. I left the bulky Nikon at home.
I f you know me you know I love beautifying my space, so of course I am soo into the interior design man of the hour, RYAN KORBAN. As one of NY’s most popular designers he’s been prettifying the homes of celebs like Debora Messing and James Franco. His trademark clean and opulent aesthetic features timeless art pieces and sketches, fur throws and pillows (just decadent), fresh flowers, and books as conversation starters. I wish I could get him to come decorate my new place…a girl can dream!
KARL-EDWIN GUERRE is one of my favorite street photographers. Get to know him!
I must say I love Kanye in all this pink…
