Relaxation at Last!

Lifestyle October 28, 2012

This week, as a part of my promise to stay busy and entertained I crammed as many activities into the past 7 days I could. I attended a meeting about a very meaningful organization and saw a man on a unicycle (I really need to reconsider my job-we don’t have nearly enough unicycle guys), I spent time with a number of people who I love and adore, and attended a raucous party with IONA Magazine. All in all it was a productive, fun, crazy, intense week so all I did today was have brunch and read my W Mag. Thank you for the weekend.

Here are a few pictures from my week.

Yay Iona and Alimi!!!!!

This thrift store in Silver Lake had some pretty interesting art and a beaded shirt I’m picking up tomorrow.

Then there were the near naked models and bond fire time in Venice. It was a good week, excluding how gross bond fires make your hair smell. I swear one wash does not get that stink out. Ugh that Friday will stay with me for a while.

Summer Obsessions!

Beauty June 14, 2012

Summer’s here and where ever you turn you see pastels, pastels, pastels.  So, as I prepare for yet another photo shoot at IONA Magazine, I turned to my uber secret “sources” for the most summery beauty trends.  Here is a list of things I am obsessed with for summer:

1. Pastel lips: Lips are pink, purple, and nude this season and I’m all about a pastel purple pout.  So try products from smashbox…they are my fav.

2. Candy Nails: Nails are totally opaque, stick with the pastels, pinks, blues, and purples…

3. Get cheeky: Every season boasts it’s IT cheek color, well for summer I wouldn’t focus on that perfect bronzer but a pink liquid blush.  Keep it dewy ladies!!

Have a wonderful time searching for your product, keep me posted!  This photo shoot should be fun.  Now off to casting!

Beauty April 9, 2012

I have been a beauty editor at Iona Magazine for over 6 years and never truly appreciated the wonder that is finishing powder, not until today. My face has been bringing me back to junior high, not in a good way. This return to prepubescent acne has left me with a few scars that need covering while they fade. My foundation alone leaves me with a slight shadow of the scar; that was until I added some finishing powder. Thank you Bobbi Brown Finishing Powder in Golden Orange.

Eyebrow Obsession

Beauty, Celebrity April 25, 2011

As of late I’ve been a little obsessed with eyebrows thanx to an article I was writing for my 9 to 5.  I came to the conclusion that most people have eyebrows that don’t fit their face.  Audry would not have been caught dead with the wrong face fringe.  Her thick horizontal brows are a perfect accent for her soft sweet face.  Her bold look reminds me of another fashion maven, Natalie Portman.  Portman’s brows are some of the only horizontal brows in Hollywood.  Standing ovation for Natalie.
