If you’re anything like me you love when the weather changes but the pallet may not be your favorite. I mean there isn’t a lot of pink in a pile of leaves. Well you too can participate in the Holloweenie festivities will some pretty pumpkinny goodness.
I just grabbed a few pretty pumpkins from Vons. Then I sprayed and glittered away.
Yay!!! Valentines Day is coming!!! I’m never truly ready but I’m trying to get a little festive.
Flowers and gifts are getting me in the spirit.
Then I decorated a little…let’s be honest this isn’t really my husband’s thing.
But he loved the note I left on his pillow. Check out my other blog post with 20 creative Valentines Day idea for creative people.
Christmas isn’t Christmas if it isn’t covered in glitter. Like, copious amounts of glitter! So, I’m starting my Christmas off with a newly pinkafied tree including two special pink glitter ornaments. It definitely wasn’t rocket science. Just grab some glue, any glue will do, and sprinkle glitter.
I added fishing string…trying to keep the focus on the glitter!
Then sit back and admire!
I’ve had an insanely busy week (new site http://www.allycinhicks.com). But I’m never too busy to remind a friend of how amazing and brilliant she is. Get it get it. Candles make light…brilliant. Sometimes I crack myself up. I just had to prove to myself that you don’t have to spend all your money to give a thoughtful gift.
I collected a few household items. Well, at least common for my household. I grabbed a piece of sequin sweater from an earlier project, some marble contact paper, some Martha Stewart glitter, and of course some tea candles. My earthquake kit will miss them. Basically, cut the fabric and spray glue it to the plastic candle holder then add glitter to another one then finally the contact paper to yet another.
Then wrap it up. I always believe in a great ribbon and a hand written card. People love the personalization.
It’s go time…wedding planning has commenced and bridesmaids have been chosen. Why ask like a normal person, when you can mail them a balloon filled with glitter and a note? I never would, and that’s why I thank Pinterest for it’s many wonders.
To get started you’ll need: a box, string, balloons, glitter (duh), Safety pins (not pictured), a funnel (I clearly made mine from paper and tape), and your message. I got my supplies from Moskatels but if you don’t live in SoCal you can go to Michaels, also known as, the best place on earth.
Here’s my message. I took it all the way back to junior high for this one.
Roll up the message and slide into the deflated balloon. Pretty simple.
Then use your funnel to add the glitter. I used large and small glitter. You can NEVER have too much glitter, don’t let anyone tell you anything different.
Then blow up the balloon, make sure it still fits the box (releasing air from a glitter filled balloon is NO fun). Tie the string and add the “pop me” note and safety pin.
Now your done and you can make all the ladies, or gents, in your life feel super special. I love all of my ladies!!! More arts and crafts to come. We have another art day scheduled for this Sunday!!!
Welcome to my glitter obsession!
I’m a girlie girl if there ever was one and I’ve been seeing some majorly girlie looks on Spring 2012 runways. Here are my favs…
Miu Miu featured some super cutsie lace mini dresses, ribbon adorned jackets, and detailed bags. The warrior make-up was the final touch… excellent!
It’s like Marc Jacobs was rummaging through my accessory drawer for this season’s Louis Vuitton Spring 2012. I’m a huge believer in flash and trash, otherwise known as sparkle!!! The silhouettes were amazingly girlie with lots of lace and bright colors. Oh Marc, my love, you always make me so happy!
Paco was definitely glitz meets woah!! It was very Metropolis meets robot space aliens. But sparkles are always girlie, thus it made my most amazingly girlie list.
A warm gold is huge this season especially for us brunettes. Go gold this season…
