My life is comprised of all manner of randomness and today’s randomness was an almost endless pursuit of “appropriate” work attire. You have no idea how hard it is to be an “appropriate” yet fashionable psychologist in a medical center-ugh! But while on this journey I accidentally stumped into a Forever 21-accidently-and bought these darlings. They are not just pieces in a massive jewelry collection but little stackable pastel reminders to love and keep it light.
Today was a little stressful, to say the least, and as I prepared for work i constructed an outfit that reminded me of my best qualities and my best friends. My jacket was lent to me by my bestie she also gave me the three stoned ring. My necklace has seen better days but it reminds me of my talent to make old things new again. My first Louis V reminds me that I can take care of myself and my jade bracelet reminds me of how fabulous my mom is.
With designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Comme des Garcons, Roberto Cavali, Lanvin and Versace your local H&M sounds a lot more like a Barney’s than a glorified Forever 21. Their newest designer, Marni, is an excellent addition to this awesome burgeoning couture department store. Here is the full list of lines that have come through H&M at one time or another: Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Comme des Garcons, Roberto Cavali, Jimmy Choo, Sonia Rykiel, Lanvin, Versace, now Marni. Oh, will Spring 2012 ever come?
If you know me personally you know I do two things. 1. keep up with everything that walks down a runway and 2. shop on a budget (Cigars would disagree). So, on one of my shopping trips I walked into a Forever 21-trying to reclaim my youth-and I found this amazingly beaded clutch. I was instantly struck by it’s resemblance of my favorite pattern from Proenza Schouler Fall 2011. Forever 21 Brea Mall buyer…this was a good purchase. I’ll never judge a store by it’s cover again!
