Raspberry Love

I wanted to make my sweetie a little something sweet for Vday. But I didn’t have a ton of time and my oven was really not my biggest fan so two tries later we had something to be proud of. Here’s how I made a delish raspberry reduction for a French vanilla cake. 

   

What you’ll need: 

1 1/2 cup frozen raspberries 

1 tablespoon cornstarch 

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 

1/4 cup sugar 

Prep: 

It’s really simple. Put all of this is a medium sauce pan, heat it up, and stir. When it starts to look a little like jelly you’ll know you’re done. 

 

I honestly didn’t make this cake from scratch. I bought a French Vanilla box cake and called it a day. But it was delish.   

 

I finished it off with a raspberry reduction heart. It was pretty easy I just put a cookie cutter on top and used it as a stencil. Happy baking!!!
