Today is the day that Watson, Crick, Wilkins, and Franklin discovered the double helix molecular structure of DNA. Bet you only remembered Watson and Crick from genetics class…oh the rest of you aren’t total nerds, it’s ok. Well Maurice Wilkins and Rosalind Franklin used x-ray photographs to help determine the structure. Yup, a woman helped discover the structure if DNA. Happy women’s history month.
