Our Breathtaking World

Art December 30, 2012

I feel a kindred spirit in Professor Gary Greenberg, PhD.  His love of art and science have developed into a truly unique hobby photographing some incredibly small and interesting elements of our world.  I bet you are trying to figure out what these are pictures of, stones, shells, crystals?  Well wouldn’t you be interested to know that these are magnified pictures of sand.  I know amazing, Dr Greenberg used his technique of microphotography to magnify common beach sand to 250 times it’s normal size.  What an amazingly complex world we live in.

Mind the Peace

Advice, Mental Health December 19, 2012

Today allow yourself the kindness of being active in the present moment. Accept each experience for what it is neither pushing away or holding on. This, the preset, is where you find happiness. In all things be mindful.

Enjoy my spiritual tip of the week, mindfulness. If you want to know more check out this video with Thich Nhat Hanh, the mindfulness master.

S’more 2012

Food December 16, 2012

If you know anything about me, you know I LOVE tasty confections-even though I shouldn’t have them. So the other day I updated the s’more, thanx to a little Pinterest birdie. It’s super easy. Graham crackers, of course, then some Fluff. For those of you who don’t know, Fluff is basically liquid marshmallow perfection. Double boil some chocolate bars and dunk the little gram/Fluff sandwich and eat. Yummmmm! I’ve already eaten too many.
