Today was a little stressful, to say the least, and as I prepared for work i constructed an outfit that reminded me of my best qualities and my best friends. My jacket was lent to me by my bestie she also gave me the three stoned ring. My necklace has seen better days but it reminds me of my talent to make old things new again. My first Louis V reminds me that I can take care of myself and my jade bracelet reminds me of how fabulous my mom is.

$inful $tat!
I am a stats junkie and found a simply $inful stat from 2011 in the Harvard Business Review This stat states that people who cohabit-live with one anther before their eternal vows-then get married, end up amassing a fortune double those who never cohabitated. Hmmm maybe those Kardashians are on to something.

The Passage
It’s interesting how here in the U.S. we make light of one of the most horrible dictators ever! We all remember Kim Jong Il’s cameo on Team America, and his Eharmony video. Even so, he has systematically brain washed an entire country, so sad.

The Pursuit of Happiness
What is happiness? Can we find it in the perfect job, most exquisite pair of shoes, the right boyfriend, or at the bottom of a tub of rocky road? Happiness is this illusive creature of equal parts legend and desire. Every moment in our life is all consumed with our striving for it; from diet choices, to education, shopping, and interpersonal interactions. However; one of my favorite psychologists Viktor Frankl most eloquently posited…
Don’t aim at success-the more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For sucess, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensure…as the unintended side-effect of one’s personal dedication to a course greater than oneself.”
Happiness sits waiting for us in the everyday and mundane. It’s less about finding and more about noticing. True happiness is about shifting our minds and turning them toward noticing happy moments. As I sit waiting on my beloved Cigars, I simply notice my happiness and decide to share the moment, hopefully inspiring happiness in others.

NY Day 3
My last day in NY was hectic so I didn’t get to post the happenings. My day started with a giro as I overlooked the financial district. I had my interview at an amazing hospital then off to Penn Station. It was really hard to convince a cab drier to take me but I finally got to my destination and off to Boston. I love busy days.
