The CEO of Time Inc, a global giant and owner of Essence, Entertainment Weekly, People, and Real Simple to name a few, announced the launch of their new shopping website. This, according to WWD writer Amy Wicks, is the first shopping site launched by a fashion magazine. Honestly, who would know better about fashion than those who create fashion, but that’s only my opinion. The site will feature over 150 retailers including: Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Mulberry, and Mango. Also including over 2,000 brands. InStyle Managing Editor, Ariel Foxman has been quoted saying:
“It will be like shopping with one of our magazine editors. The experience is edited and the search function actually works. If you search for bags with a chain, you will actually see that, but in different price points and brands.”
I have used the site already, instyle.com, and I am absolutely in love. I searched for Tory Burch flats, gold purses, and bow rings, in a moment I was in shopping heaven. There are even items identified as the editors pick to help assist you in your decision making. I may never shop in person again, thank you to the InStyle shopping gurus for doing all of the work for us, just in time for Christmas.
